   Just wanted to say a quick word regarding the hotels that we mentioned in a previous post. Both places are relatively simple places. We tried to find clean and cheap places for the most part, that will be reasonably close to the wedding venue and other places that we might have activities around the week.
   Because both places are relatively cheap, it is not possible to get a block of rooms. Both hotels are also starting to fill up. If you are planning on staying there, please book quickly.

After the Wedding

So one of the many things that I am excited about, is what we are going to be doing after the wedding. We will have the reception in the museum with food, drink, and dancing. I am not a big dancer but Irene loves it (she is a very good dancer and I dance like a white guy with no rhythm) so it will be fun/embarrassing.  The reception will probably end around 9:30 pm and after that we are planning on doing something else as well for people that are interested. We are still figuring out the details but we are trying to get a place where we can have a fire, drinks, and more food. It might end up being the museum but we are also considering other options. Anyway I thought people might enjoy a bit of what we are thinking. Thanks!

   The day continues to grow closer. Thankfully Irene and I are working hard to make sure everything goes smoothly (mostly Irene is working hard, I am writing this).
   Invitations are going out and you should receive yours soon if you haven't yet. If you have any questions about anything please do not hesitate to contact either one of us.

          So now that you know where this wedding is taking place (Monterey, CA) and when (May 10), you might like to know where you should stay. The short answer is anywhere you want. But if you would like to stay in a hotel with other wedding guests, as well as a hotel that is reasonably close to the ceremony, we would recommend one of these three:

• The Colton Inn (http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g32737-d248364-Reviews-Colton_Inn-Monterey_Monterey_Peninsula_California.html)
• The Mariposa Inn and Suites (http://www.mariposamonterey.com/)

These hotels are reasonably close to each other and not ridiculously expensive. When we plan activities for people we will use these hotels as a starting point for activities.
